Craig Lashley
President

Craig started in the financial sector of the mutual fund division for Wells Fargo before making his way into real estate in asset management and property ownership, acquiring more than 10,000 multi-family units and three million square feet of commercial space throughout the United States. Due to his frustration in working with management groups, Craig took what many consider a reverse approach in his real estate career: going from asset management and ownership to property management. Drawing on these experiences, Craig gives Valiant clients the benefit of knowing exactly what asset owners need. He worked with Valiant (formally SIMC Management) and his mentors, George Martin and Michael Zimmer, for many years before taking over as president in 2014. Since then, Craig has turned Valiant into a top 10 management company and Top 100 Places to Work in DFW. His professional relationships, passion for people and knowledge of the industry embody every aspect of the Valiant lifestyle.

 
 
 

Todd Parks
Vice President

Todd has worked with some of the largest brands in business development and client relations. His previous experience includes working with brand specializations in hospitality, marketing and business development. His collegiate athletic and entrepreneur background mixed with his passion for people give a solid background to think outside the box. He is responsible for business development, client relations and several Valiant departments including marketing, online presence and resident services. He is also a passionate advocate in furthering Valiant’s award-winning company culture. Outside of Valiant, Todd serves as chairman of Chase Parks Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of teens and young adults.

Mike Jagodinski
CFO

Mike joined Valiant in 2005 and served as controller until 2016. Prior to Valiant, he was a divisional controller for a major real estate developer and home builder. He oversees a robust accounting team that heads a multi-billion-dollar portfolio and is responsible for all aspects of the accounting department including preparation of investor reports, budgeting and financial planning. Mike is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Matthew Zimmer
Director of Construction

Matthew is a veteran in the industry with 20 years of experience in construction and management, 15 within multi-family and commercial environments. He has managed construction operations for approximately one million square feet of office, industrial and multi-family real estate. Matthew brings multiple perspectives to each project he oversees having held positions as maintenance technician, senior property manager and regional deployment manager.  Most recently he has managed construction projects with budgets in excess of $50 million.

 

Sonia Horton
Human Resources

Sonia is a proactive human resource professional with 10 years of experience. She is a creative and innovative thinker recognized for effective management, team building and leadership skills. Her background provides her the ability to lead Valiant in many H.R. concentrations such as recruiting, on-boarding, compliance and retention. Sonia holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and an MBA from Honduras State University.
